IDIOT GORE PLAYS TO INTERNATIONAL CROWD, DISSES AMERICA

Former Vice President Al Gore once again demonstrated his contempt for America last week with his speech to an international conference on global warming in Bali. The ‘Brains’ behind the science fiction masterpiece “An Inconvenient Truth” showed that his love for international attention was greater than his love for America.

“I’m going to speak an inconvenient truth,” said Gore, winking to the audience like Fred Willard in ‘Waiting for Guffman,’ “My own country the United States is principally responsible for obstructing progress in Bali.” This statement was made after the European Union accused the US of dragging its feet in creating a successor treaty to the fanciful Kyoto accords.

Gore went on to criticize George Bush. “I don’t know how you can navigate around this enormous elephant in the room which I’ve been undiplomatic enough to name.” Gore then noted that it will only be one year and forty days until the US will have a new president, one supposedly more receptive to combating global warming.

Is Gore still smarting over his crushing loss in 2000? His pointed remarks toward George Bush certainly sound like sour grapes. But Gore really shows his lack of class when speaking such slop to an international audience. Obviously playing to the crowd and delighting in its misguided adulation, Gore will no doubt put down the US again in the future.

If Gore had any class at all he would take notes from the great British Prime Minister Winston Churchill who stated that when he was at home he was the government’s greatest critic, but when traveling abroad he was its greatest defender. But Gore is only a politician, and could never hope to be the statesman that Churchill was, and that George W. Bush has proven himself to be.
