ROMNEY WINS OVER CHRISTIAN CONSERVATIVES

Despite the fact that he is a Mormon, and looks a little like Dracula, Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney seems to be gaining credibility among traditional conservative Christians.

Bob Jones University, which teaches that Mormonism is a cult, has turned into an unexpected bastion of Romney support. The University founder’s grandson, Bob Jones III and its dean, Robert Taylor, both endorsed the former Massachusetts Governor last week. Additionally, the founder of the National Right to Life Committee, Dr. John Willke, and Baptist Convention pastor Don Wilton also stated their support for Romney. Jones said, “I’m not voting for a preacher, I’m voting for a president.”

We need to get over this Mormon thing. Everything Romney touches turns to gold. If he could turn the mess that was the Salt Lake Olympic Committee around and make it one of the most successful enterprises in the history of the western United States, imagine what he could do with the US economy.
